International Business Council is pleased to announce that The American Institute of Architects Middle East is partnering with Leaders in Design MENA which will take place on the dates 15th and 16th of November 2015 in Dubai.

The American Institute of Architects is an international professional organization based in Washington DC, that serves architects and design professionals. Since its establishment in 1857 in the US, it has grown to be the largest professional organization for architects with 300 chapters in the US, 5 international chapters, and a membership in excess of 80,000 members. AIA Middle East, formed in the UAE in 2010, was established to serve the professional interests of the growing number of active AIA members in the Middle East and North Africa. Equally as important, AIA Middle East helps foster stronger ties between AIA, regional architects and governments in the MENA region.

The president of the AIA Middle East, Tannar Whitney, is glad to share with us what they are looking to achieve through our summit Leaders in Design MENA and the development of the design industry in the MENA region.

"The AIA Middle East's participation in the 2015 Leaders in Design MENA Summit aims to foster stronger ties between the AIA members, regional architects and institutions in the collective interest of elevating regional design through sharing best professional practices and understanding market trends.
This year's focus on interior design is particularly appropriate given the number of new hospitality and residential projects we are seeing in the market, combined with the volume of existing building stock in need of retrofit and reinvention across all building typologies.”
